Sabino Investment Management, LLC offers investment management and consultation services to families, trusts, nonprofits, pension plans, profit-sharing plans, 401(k) and 403(b) plans.
Some of the ways that our firm differs from others include the following:
- Sabino Investment Management, LLC is an independent firm and we consider a variety of investment fund providers. We attempt to utilize the best investment fund providers in a particular asset class.
- Our portfolio models sometimes include some closed-end funds that sell at a discount to the current market value of their funds’ portfolios. There is ample evidence that the purchase of closed-end funds at significant discounts to net asset value is likely to provide an additional source of positive investment returns.
- Accounts that are not 401(k) and 403(b) plans may include individual stocks that reflect our value orientation.
- Our portfolio models include an allocation to precious metal bullion funds. Given government and central bank policies in recent years, we believe that investment portfolios should include some allocation to precious metals bullion.
- Our portfolio models provide broad diversification but we attempt to avoid or reduce exposure to investments that do not offer a favorable reward/risk ratio.
- The funds that we use generally have relatively low operating expenses and have no sales charges. Institutional class shares of mutual funds are normally used to minimize fund management fees.
- We pledge to maintain compliance with the CFA Institute Asset Manager Code which can be downloaded via this link: CFA Institute – Asset Manager Code 2017-v3
